I'm studying building services engineering in my second semester at University of Applied Sciences 21. For my practical phase, I've been given my own project in which I plan the heating, plumbing and ventilation trades for a drugstore in a shopping mall. To make the project even more instructive, I can present my results to colleagues in a business game. In this way, I not only learn what is involved in planning, but also how meetings and presentations with planning partners and customers work. I think it's very important that the dual study program not only gives me an insight into the technical side of engineering studies, but also prepares me for working life.
